Create stunning presentations with confidence! In this live beginner-friendly course, you’ll master PowerPoint essentials—design, animations, SmartArt, media, and more—to engage and impress any audience.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

• Create visually consistent presentations using built-in themes, templates, and the Quickstarter tool.
• Build, save, and share presentations effectively across platforms.
• Add, remove, and reorder slides to develop a logical and engaging presentation structure.
• Insert and format text boxes, images, and shapes, including applying visual effects.
• Align and arrange content using tools such as Align, Group, and Layer to ensure professional layout and design.
• Design and format charts and create informative diagrams using SmartArt graphics.
• Embed multimedia elements such as videos and audio to enhance engagement.
• Apply slide transitions to support smooth flow between content.
• Use speaker notes and rehearse with timings to prepare for delivery.
• Run a slideshow for both live and unattended presentation scenarios.

Target Audience

People who are new or have some basic skills in PowerPoint looking to upskill.

Required

• A laptop or desktop with a mouse or mousepad (feedback from students is that a smartphone or tablet-type device is not a good fit for this course)

• A microphone (video is not required)

Course Fee: $200 (plus GST/HST for Canadian organizations or individuals)
