MS Excel: Entering and Manipulating Data

Course Overview

This live 60-minute online workshop is for people who have had basic exposure to MS Excel (Students should be able to open Excel and can enter basic data in a spreadsheet)

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

• determine when to clear contents vs deleting cells, rows and columns
• insert cells, rows and columns
• hide and unhide columns and rows
• resize columns and rows
• merge cells
• apply wrapping to cells
• move and copy cell, column and row contents
• apply basic cell formatting and alignment commands use and customize autofill to improve efficiency

Target Audience

Beginners who are comfortable with basic MS Excel data entry or who have taken MS Excel: The Basics for Beginners

Required

• A laptop or desktop with a mouse or mousepad (feedback from students is that a smartphone or tablet-type device is not a good fit for this course)

• A microphone (video is not required)
