Course Overview

This live 90 minute online workshop is for people who have a solid ability to enter and adjust data (numbers and text) in Excel and would like to increase effectiveness and efficiency by implementing and manipulating basic formulas and functions.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

• identify the difference between formulas and built-in functions
• reference a cell using the name box
• reference a range of cells
• discuss the difference between relative and absolute referencing and when to be aware of them
• implement formulas and apply them using autofill

Target Audience

Beginners who are comfortable with basic data entry in Excel or who have taken MS Excel: The Basics for Beginners

Required

• A laptop or desktop with a mouse or mousepad (feedback from students is that a smartphone or tablet-type device is not a good fit for this course)

• A microphone (video is not required)
