Learn how to confidently update and manage content on an established WordPress site. Covers pages, posts, media, and categories—ideal for new contributors and team members.
Learning Objectives
In this workshop, you will be working on a WordPress site. By the end of the workshop, you will be able to:
- Navigate the WordPress Environment and change basic settings
- Use the Administrator role and understand the other roles
- Install a theme and customize it
- Create posts, categorize them and add them to post summary pages
- Create pages
- Add images inline and as feature images to pages and posts
- Identify and manipulate widgets
- Install and manipulate plugins
- Adjust the menu, including adding internal and external links
- Discuss the advantage and disadvantages of enhanced WordPress themes (Divi and Elementor)
Target Audience
Designed for beginners and those looking to strengthen their foundational skills, this course is ideal for anyone new to WordPress or seeking to fill knowledge gaps in managing and maintaining a WordPress website.

A laptop or desktop with a mouse or mousepad (feedback from students is that a smartphone or tablet-type device is not a good fit for this course)
- A microphone (video is not required)
