Course Overview

This live 3.5-hour live online workshop is for people who need to get up to speed on Excel quickly – Perfect for a new hire or someone trying to improve their skills for a promotion or entering the workforce.

Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, learners will be able to:

• Navigate within the Excel environment.
• Explain the difference between worksheets and workbooks.
• Use various mouse and keyboard combinations to move around your workspace and select data.
• Demonstrate ways to reference a cell.
• Perform basic data entry.
• Use the autofill functionality.
• Create and edit formulas.
• Locate functions and implement a function.
• Format data in cells and tables.
• Use basic filter functions.
• Create a basic chart to visualize data and perform some basic customizations.

Target Audience

Beginners to Intermediate Excel users

Required 

• A laptop or desktop with a mouse or mousepad (feedback from students is that a smartphone or tablet-type device is not a good fit for this course)

• A microphone (video is not required)

Course Fee: $175 (plus GST/HST for Canadian organizations or individuals)
